Beat the competition may conjure up the wrong meaning of what is being posited here without the proper context. We are in such a litigious society especially here in the United States, that your words can be parsed and used Beat-your-competition-kingsley-grantagainst you.

It's so unfortunate seeing that one of our basic rights established by the founders of the United States is the Freedom of Speech.

Not all speech I'm fond of. Some speeches are very offensive to me and I would rather not be exposed to them. However, this is one of the beauty of Freedom of Speech. I cannot have it when it pleases me but not when it offends me.

It's challenging but I would rather have it this way.

That be said, the phrase beat the competition is applicable when it comes to you going after your dream career. Knowing that you are not the only one vying for a similar spot, requires that you do things differently.

You cannot sit on your butt and expect to achieve your dream career goal. You have to go after it with all that's within you.

Because of this competitive nature, having a strategy will give you an advantage. Another term for it is: the competitive edge.

Here are the 3 Career Change Secrets to Beat Your Competition mentioned in this episode:

1. Do your research
2. Develop your authentic voice
3. Enlist the help of others

NOTE: Make sure you do numbers #1 and #2 before you do #3.

What does it take to get into the right career?

I’ve been struggling with this for 10 years now it seems. I’m currently 32 years old in the IT world. Have taken many personality tests and the type that represents me the most is INFP.

RG, being an INFP reflects your personality as one that is very deliberate, intuitive with some introversion. This mix does impact what “right career” means to you.
Right career is very relative. To you it might mean one thing and to others something completely different.
The question has to be: what is a right career for you? Can you describe it? Do you know what it is?
I’m sorry to see that you’ve been struggling with this for about 10 years and still haven’t found a suitable answer. If you would like, you could reach out to me for a FREE 30 minutes career change breakthrough strategy session, where we could assess the situation.
In addition to my offer, I would suggest that you make a list of all the careers that excites you. Once you’ve done that, go through and do a process of elimination until you’re left with one to three that you spend some time mulling over and deciding on.
This may not be a deep response, but I know it works and it is simple enough.

Just in case you are wondering what are some of the website tools I use, here's two of them along with my best selling ebook.

(Full disclosure: If you purchase any of these items, I will get a small fee. There's no extra cost for you)

This is the PLUGIN that I use for all my pages. It has a very easy learning curve and it is very user friendly.
Every website must be hosted somewhere. I have used BLUEHOST for years. There are others out there but I have stuck with what works for me ...
This is one of my signature ebooks, which outlines my process of taking you from your conceptual ideas (passion) to a marketable product (profit). HERE
