Why I Say Merry Christmas with Kingsley Grant

The incoming president of the United States – Donald Trump, recently did one of his “Thank You” tour in one of the Northern States. He deliberately used the phrase “Merry Christmas” at points in his speech. He even had Merry Christmas boldly pronounced before the lectern at which he stood. Why did he do this? Why not do like other leaders prior to him and in the name of being politically correct say, Happy Holidays and other pandering kind of phrases? I believe he is sending a strong and clear message to everyone that he is not going to be led […]

As a matter of fact one of the ladies from my office did ask me and I said “I’m going to the Eastern Caribbean.” That was not even where I was going. This is to show […]

We hear a lot about gratitude. Or at least I have. I cannot speak for you but I would say you have as well. I grew up being told by my parents that I need to be grateful in life. You like me know this: we need to make changes along the way if we don’t want to get stuck. We’ve got to do something different. As you know too well this saying: To keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting to get different results is called insanity. But, when it comes time to make changes that will bring us different results, something happens. We know we need to make changes but we are overcome by fear, doubts, feelings of inadequacy, just to name a few of the emotions that step in to foil our plans. Everything […]

At what point in your life would you consider making changes in your work? This is one of the questions that so many people know they need to entertain, but for one reason or another, they Kingsley Grantshift away from doing so.

Why is it so hard for some people who know they need to make a change at work, in certain relationships, in clothing and other areas of their lives, to do so?

My quickest guest is that they are not ready or willing to pay the immediate price tag. It will cost them something that in their minds is not worth it especially right now.

I find that with me, I go through several “takes” on trying to figure out when should I make a change and do I really have to.

Fear of rejection is one of the most common ailments of our time when it comes to doing something outside our familiar setting. Some would call this familiar setting your comfort zone. Have you ever felt stuck because of fear of rejection? What has that fear done to you or cost you? I know it has had great impact on my life.
